Train riders should anticipate delays, Metro-North said. Also, use caution when entering and exiting trains, and while on platforms and staircases.

Metro-North urged customers to use caution when entering and exiting trains, and on platforms and staircases. Ice tends to form more quickly on train platforms than on other surfaces. Even if a platform looks clear, it can have icy patches.

Metro-North had reduced train service and delays throughout much of the day due to the heavy snow and strong winds for the nor'easter.
